POST 9 : Changes to my study programme

The Juan Gómez Millas campus of the University of Chile is a large place, with different faculties, there is FACSO, the Faculty of Social Sciences. I think the most obvious problem here is the lack of space. More classrooms are always needed, there are more and more students! For this reason, casinos are usually full. Libraries are also always full, as are study halls, tables, and computers, especially by the end of the semester. We also need more computers. For example, for statistics, more computers are always required for all students who take that subject. Although, for the rest of the subjects does not need much technology. But even all the rooms have a projector and a computer - maybe not the latest technology, but equally useful-.
With regard to infrastructure: They could improve the lift for people with reduced mobility, and improve access to the entire campus, such as adding more ramps, or fixing pedestrian paths, for example. There is still a long way to go to be a truly inclusive University.
Regarding teaching methods, I think that psychology has very good teachers mostly, with pedagogical skills and good treatment with students, however, there are subjects that are much more comprehensive than others. Or teachers much more understanding than others. But nothing terrible, if we compare them with the teachers of Beauchef, for example.
I think that psychology has a varied curriculum of subjects, although they give more emphasis to certain currents than to others. Still in third we do not do practical work, but we have had some practical experiences. So, still, it's much more theoretical. I do not think it's something to criticize, there are still two more years left -I hope-
In general, I like my career, the campus, even FACSO. Of course there are things to improve, there are always things to improve, but we are making progress.
